Information about Lydie
I am a fully qualified teacher and a French native speaker from Brittany. I am currently employed as a language teacher in a private school in Bournemouth. I hold a PGCE, a Master`s degree in French as a Foreign Language and a French Language and Literature degree gained from Rennes university in France.
Do you need some help in preparing for your French GCSE or A Level exams? I can help you with exam practice, speaking exams or making sure you can manipulate grammar more confidently. I have experience in teaching Edexcel and AQA specifications.
If you are just looking for French conversation I welcome all levels.
I am enthusiastic, friendly and patient and my experience and dedication allow students to make quick progress.

Experience: I have 15 years `experience in teaching French up to GCSE and A Level in secondary schools in Dorset. As Head of the Language department, I have a sound understanding of examinations requirements which enables students to perform very well in all skills.
I have a track record for obtaining outstanding results. My wide experience of language teaching has allowed me to develop various strategies which enhance learning and progress.
I have also taught French to adults within Poole Adult Education.
Tutoring Approach:
As an experienced teacher I am lucky to have taught over the years a wide range of students at different levels. This allows me to quickly assess students `weaknesses and strengths and establish key strategies to cater for their learning. I have access to all the resources needed to learn a language or pass an exam and I am fully aware of MFL curriculum developments.
Grammar is an essential part of language learning and over the years I have put in place a number of strategies which make grammar understanding more accessible and fun.
