Already it is likely that we have two things in common: we both believe in the importance of Mathematics to a child`s education and we are both trying to do something about it. Yet tutoring can be a frustrating service to purchase. Aside from feeling like you are paying for something you might not have anticipated, the outcome you hope for is by no means guaranteed.

;;;;;; Reciprocally the only thing a tutor can guarantee is the approach they will take. As a tutor, my aims are two-fold:
1. To build a richness of mathematical understanding that is robust when examined and also fosters genuine problem-solving excitement. This is the real transferable gift that comes from having strong mathematical skills.
2. To focus on the future, not from the point-of-view of linking a good grade to a good university to a good job, but rather thinking carefully about embedding a child`s passions into Mathematics. In my mind, irrespective of the dream, Mathematics, and particularly problem-solving, is an enabler of success.
Maths is a challenging subject that doesn`t come naturally for most of us.
Sometimes all that`s needed is a little personalised attention and that is where I can help.
My background is well suited to achieving these aims. Motivated and confident maths expert, interested in working with young people to enable them to excel within their Education.
