I am a qualified Maths teacher with years of experience teaching year 7 all the way up to year 13 (A-level). I have a First class degree in Mathematics and Economics. In addition, I have obtained A* at Maths A-level and A at Further Maths.

I understand that for many students, Mathematics can be one of the most challenging subjects. This might be due to previous performance, relationship with past or current teachers or lack of interest. I am passionate about the subject and hope to inspire and shift students mindset to be able to discover real potential.

Availability: I am flexible.

Experience: I have experience preparing students for their GCSE Maths in a classroom setting as a full time teacher and as a private tutor for many years. The focus will be on covering content as well as increasing mathematical confidence and intuition as the new GCSE exam requires students to be resilient in their thinking.

The creative activities I have designed ensure children with low attainment are supported and those with high attainment are challenged. High expectations are set for all my students; this includes using correct mathematical language as this provides student with the confidence to justify and describe mathematical ideas.
