A qualified and experienced Science teacher. I am an Oxford graduate with a degree in Biochemistry. I am a caring and passionate individual. I believe in taking an individualised approach with my students, playing to their strengths and working together to identify and target areas of weakness. Exam practice is key to preparing students effectively and I also encourage my students to take ownership of their learning and self reflect. I am an organised and motivated individual, who has a calm and patient manner with my students.

Availability: Weekday evenings, and weekend mornings.

Experience: I am an experienced Secondary school Science teacher with 7 years experience and over 10 years of private tutoring experience. I have a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, and completed my teacher training PGCE qualification at Southampton University. I have taught all 3 sciences at KS3 and GCSE, and Biology to A level. I am familiar with a range of exam boards including AQA, OCR and edexcel, having taught at 3 different schools during my career. I was head of A level Biology in one of my appointments. I have worked with a diverse range of students from students with special educational needs, those with English as a second language, and am able to adapt to approach to accommodate a range of abilities and target grades. I have experience preparing students for Oxbridge entrance exams and helping stretch the most able students to reach A* grades. I have also been able to successfully support students who are struggling with the subject, or have fallen behind, and have helped build their confidence.
