I am a Maths progress mentor in a secondary school where I have worked for nearly 20 years helping students to achieve their potential. I have also been tutoring for 10 of those years with an excellent track record.
I teach students of all ages and abilities, in a classroom situation,on a one to one basis or as part of a small group, including those with special educational needs(SEND)

I am very enthusiastic and committed about teaching maths and love to see my students achieving the success they deserve.

Availability: Daytime and evenings

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I enjoy helping students gain confidence in a subject they often dislike because they find it difficult. My approach is to be very calm and patient in order to build a good relationship with the student, as they need to feel relaxed.
After assessing the student I set realistic goals so they feel that they are achieving.As all students learn at different rates my goal is for the student to make the progress they are capable of.
