I have been teaching for 8 years and am the Head of Biology (for 5+ years) at a secondary school & sixth form. I teach all sciences at KS3 and KS4 and specialise at KS5 Biology.

I have graduated from UCL with a BSc Honours 2.1 degree in Pharmacology. I have completed my PGCE placement at UCL too. I have achieved AAB in my A levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry

I take keen interest and have a passion for teaching and have tutored students from the age of 16. I am very determined in helping students achieve their potential. My teaching methods are used to enable students to understand and make links between key concepts rather than teach by rote. I pre-plan all my sessions with a focus on exam questions and examiners reports to highlight the skills and knowledge needed to attain the top grades. I use exam papers to identify areas of weakness so we can then work on specific skills or topics. We can then revise topics and make revision materials. I have a variety of worksheets to help scaffold my sessions to meet the needs of each student.

Many of my students go on to study medicine, dentistry, pharmacology and other various science based and non science academic subjects.

I can also offer extra support outside of class, so students can send me questions they are not sure of too.

I can also provide support with CV and writing personal statements.

Experience: I have 8 years of teaching science in the UK including 8 years of teaching A Level Biology.
I have 10 years of a combination of face-to-face and online tutoring experience from across all Key Stages in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English.
