Currently a SENCO in a primary school. Have a Masters in Special and Inclusive Education, the National Award for SENCO and a PG Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties. Recently completed a PG Certificate in Maths Difficulties & Dyscalculia.
Worked as a Reading Recovery Teacher for three years within a primary school.
From 2012 to 2021 worked as an Advisory Teacher for a local authority learning support service. This involved some individual work with pupils, carrying out informal assessments and offering advice and strategies to support their learning.

Interested in supporting learners with meta-cognition and developing independent learning skills. Would aim to liaise with others involved, such as the school, to support continuity.

Availability: Currently available on Mondays and Fridays, during the day and including after school. Available on Tuesdays all day and during the evening.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: 30 years primary school experience in a variety of settings across the country and including nine years working as an SEN advisory teacher for a local authority.
Mainly worked in KS2.
Both PG courses and the Reading Recovery programme involved 1:1 teaching.
