Information about Marcus
I am an Aeronautical Engineering graduate from Bristol University and am currently living in central London. While at school, I greatly benefited from private tuition to help supplement my in-class learning and attain the grades I needed. I would like to help those who want to improve their understanding in Science and Mathematics at GCSE and A level so that they may get the most out of their secondary education. In my spare time I enjoy photography as well as playing the cello and guitar.
My approach to tutoring is entirely tailored to the individual from assessing what gaps there are in their subject knowledge, to using different teaching approaches that best suit the tutee. Following on from this I would like to reinforce the core concepts in a given topic before moving onto more advanced concepts to ensure a strong understanding of the subject. I am a patient and easy-going person who can provide a positive learning environment for all my tutees.
Availability: Available all day on weekdays and weekends
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have much experience working with children of different ages from when I was first cello of my school orchestras where I would organise section rehearsals to improve the cellists performance. I am also joining Teach First next year and will be teaching science at Keystage 3-4 level full time.
