Information about Helen
I have been tutoring maths for over 16 years. Each one of my students selected me as their tutor for the sole reason that I`m a tutor not a teacher. They have all felt instantly relaxed with me and more inclined to ask a question which they might have felt too nervous or embarrassed to have asked in class. I work on a relaxed basis , booking in sessions week to week at a time that suits us both. I always free myself up on the run up to the exam period in case extra lessons are required.
Availability: I am free during the daytime, evening and the weekend.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: 16 year`s experience. The majority of my students have been studying for their GCSE - Edexcel and AQA, foundation and higher papers.
I have also tutored younger students for their Sat’s and entrance exams and i also have lots of experience tutoring adult learners who have wanted to return to education.

Helen has recently started teaching my son who is in Year 10. Helen is always on time, professional and my son says that Helen explains things in a way that he understands and she is really helping him with his Maths.

Helen made maths so much more straightforward for me. Helen has a way of making maths very clear and easier to grasp and she gave me so much confidence. I first went to her shortly before my maths GCSE, I went to her thinking I was never going to pass but after just one session so many things clicked and I came to understand things I didn’t I could. I’m very grateful to Helen and I would fully recommend her to anybody. She is an excellent tutor.
