I was born in 1954 and have a B.Sc. and Ph.D in Chemistry together with A-level Maths and I also studied Further Maths as part of my degree courses. I spent 30 years working in IT up to 2014. I take a relaxed, informal approach to tuition in the student`s home so that the student feels as comfortable as possible and can gain maximum benefit from the tuition. I also have DBS clearance for working with minors and I`m registered for annual updates on the government website.

Availability: Weekday late afternoon/evenings from 3.30pm for schoolchildren plus occasional weekend lessons by arrangement. Some weekday daytime availability for adult students.

Experience: I started one-to-one tuition in the 2014/15 academic year and have since successfully tutored 20 Maths GCSE students to pass grades or better as at September 2019. I have also tutored students at various stages from Year 6 through Year 10, including two that passed KS2 SATs in Year 6. I have also tutored 2 Adult students to pass Maths Functional Skills Level 2. I also offer tuition in AS/A-level Maths.
