Information about Marina
I am native Spanish, have a Masters in Teaching Spanish in a Foreign Language and over 7 years of tutoring experience at all levels. I used to work as a qualified teacher at an independent school in central London but now I am a full time tutor.
I have experience tutoring Spanish at all levels. The majority of my students study for specific exams and aim to improve their oral fluency, for example, my current students are studying at the A2 and B2 level (DELE exams) as well as at GCSE level, however, I have tutored to students who are simply keen to keep up their Spanish as a fun hobby. I am also happy to deliver tailor-made classes for any purpose (I recently made some Spanish business-focused classes for one of my students).

Availability: I have flexible availability during the weekdays (especially during the mornings!).

Marina is a fantastic Spanish teacher! She is friendly, approachable & very encouraging. My Son is Home Educated & has had Marina teaching him for his GCSE Spanish for the last year & I can honestly say his Spanish improved tremendously - and so did his confidence! He took his exams and felt comfortable knowing that Marina had covered all the topics with him & given him lots of practice. Marina goes above & beyond for her students and we were very lucky to find her. My son got on so well with her & really enjoyed her lessons, which were always very well planned. She is a lovely lady with such patience and genuinely cares about her students learning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her & she is going to be teaching my other two children now too!

Marina is a wonderful tutor. My daughter was gearing up for her IGCSE`s and felt she needed extra help in all areas, writing, speaking, listening. Having looked through various tutors profiles we found Marina, we arranged a 10 minute zoom call so my daughter could run through what she needed and whether it was something Marina felt she could fulfil. We haven`t looked back!! She has given my daughter confidence to sit her exams. The lessons are a great mixture of all aspects needed to revise for her exams and there hasn`t been a time when she has not looked forward to her hour 1-1.... that speaks volumes. So happy we found Marina, can`t recommend her highly enough.

I am currently studying Spanish at university and decided that I needed a little extra help with the language alongside my uni work. Marina is a very attentive tutor who puts a lot of thought and effort into her lessons. She is very accommodating and is always willing to adapt her sessions to compliment what I have been studying at uni. I have only been learning with Marina for a couple of months, but it has been a great experience, and I already feel much more confident with the language. I would highly recommend Marina to anyone who is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and encouraging tutor!

Marina has been fantastic. Very knowledgeable in all aspects of language and vocabulary - so much so that I even had to question my own grasp of the English language. Fun lessons which always helps and she is happy to tailor to what you want. Would highly recommend.

Marina is an excellent tutor . Since my son has started Spanish tuition with her he has started to really enjoy the subject and even though its only been a few weeks I have already started to see improvements in his performance at school. Marina is reliable and has a light hearted approach to teaching .

Marina has been teaching my 10 year old son, Dex, for a couple of months now via Zoom. While he won`t let me watch his lessons, he really does enjoy them and looks forward to each lesson. Marina sets homework each week using Google Docs that must be pitched just right as Dex usually makes a point of completing it without a fuss, which isn`t something I can say for his school homework. Marina has provided me with helpful feedback about Dexter`s progress and advice on how to encourage him to continue learning outside of lessons. I recommend Marina without hesitation.

Shaarav (my 11 year old son) started taking lessons from Marina during his summer holidays and it is the best thing he has done during his summer holidays. Marina is very friendly and made Shaarav very comfortable from the get GO. He has been attending classes from Marina since July and he has loved it so much that we are continuing the classes on a regular basis now. Marina has a flair for working with kids and she has made the whole journey of leaning spanish more interesting by including games/activities which make it look easy. She has made learning Spanish fun for Shaarav! Cant recommend her enough!!

Marina is a great tutor! She has helped me build my confidence with speaking Spanish and knowledge with grammar and tenses. She is very flexible and accommodating and plans the lessons to fit your needs. We have worked towards my DELE A2 exam and practiced with the test format and the structure of the orals which has been very useful! Marina is also lovely and makes you feel comfortable especially when you are less confident.The lessons are fun and I always look forward to them. Would highly recommend!
