Information about Meijia
I am a final year medical student at the University of Bristol, with an additional intercalated BSc (2:1) in Anatomy, Developmental and Human Biology from King`s College London. I offer friendly and constructive tutoring on Biology, Chemistry and Maths ideally at GCSE level.
With Covid causing unimaginable challenges for students this year, I decided to become a tutor to help students who feel unsupported and would like help to reach their potential. I want to supplement your understanding and help you build exam skills and confidence in these uncertain times.
If you are interested in my guidance, please send a message about what you wish to get out of our lessons. I am a first-time tutor, hence the lower hourly rates. While this is by no means a hindrance to my enthusiasm, it means I have much to learn as a teacher and I want to listen to you as much as possible.
Before the lesson, I will ascertain the learning goal and ensure the student finds this challenging but achievable. Typically, for GCSE students we will work through exam-style questions where the student will talk through their thinking process. We will then consolidate the key concepts and use this as a springboard for deeper discussion.
I am completely fluent in English and my mother tongue is Mandarin. I am certainly more out of practice with the latter, however I may be useful to Mandarin-speaking students and families with regards to breaking down language barriers.

Biology (OCR) - A
