Information about Joti
I am an experienced teacher of 18 years and have worked as Head of Spanish for several years teaching Spanish to A level and French to KS3.
I have a huge passion for languages and have a BA Honours in Hispanic Studies with French from Queen Mary University, University of London.
I also qualified as a teacher from The Institute of Education, University of London, which I am proud to say has been rated World Number 1 for Education. I have consequently worked at two outstanding schools in central London teaching Spanish from KS3-KS5 and also have teaching experience of working in the Independent Sector from primary level up to A level standard.
I now work as a private tutor and support students with getting the grades they are aiming for in their exams giving guided support and exam structured feedback to achieve their full potential.

Experience: I am a committed, dedicated and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages teacher, and have worked as Head of Spanish, with over 18 years’ progressive experience of teaching French to KS3 and Spanish to GCSE and ‘A’ level standard.
I have a commendable track record of continuously demonstrating high standards and results which is expressed through an ongoing passion for teaching and continuous professional development. I have many years of teaching experience within two outstanding schools in London and have continue my professional development to continue to understand how to support each students needs on an individual basis.
I am keen to offer booster sessions to GCSE and A level students over the summer to fill in the gaps of their learning that they have missed out on so that they are better equipped for when they start school in September.
I have a huge amount of teaching in high thriving and achieving school environments and have extensive knowledge and experience of preparing my students towards the following exam boards for both GCSE and A level examinations.

I have been having lessons with Joti for the last 8 months and I have noticed a significant improvement in my overall spanish speaking and understanding abilities. Prior to our lessons I was struggling quite considerably, scoring sub-50 marks in most tests, whereas I am now scoring 70% or higher in most of my tests. Both my subject teacher as well as my classmates have noticed a significant improvement in my Spanish, and I can confidently say I can attribute a vast majority of this success to Joti. Her lessons are very well structured, organised, and overall enjoyable and engaging. She spends time carefully planning our next lesson in great detail, and is always happy to go over the agreed one hour if necessary. She also gives very detailed feedback on my homework, which has really helped me identify my weaknesses and act upon them. Right from the outset my son who is in Year 11 has been positive about Joti. She is very well organised, keeps the parents updated and delivers the lesson in an engaging enjoyable manner.
