Information about Emma
I am a very enthusiastic, thought provoking and logical individual. I have an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Cell Biology.
I currently teach life science to university level students covering a range of topics including, biological sciences, biochemistry, laboratory practical/techniques and much more. I have been teaching for over 8 years and have been tutoring since 2016. I have experience tutoring a wide range of topics for varying student levels, from key stage up adult learners. I also have experience supporting students with learning difficulties/disabilities.
Outside of my studies I like to Scuba Dive, currently I hold Oceans divers qualification and look forward to getting a Sports Diver qualification.
I am highly passionate about what I do, as well as treating my subject as a career I like to treat it as a hobby. I love teaching, and I aspire to a career in academia.
Availability: Availability: Evenings during the week (5 pm - 8:30 pm)
Saturday (10 AM - 8 PM)

Experience: I have tutored throughout my time at university through teaching, academic mentoring and through student support. I have found tutoring very rewarding and I enjoy teaching others the subjects that I am passionate about. This has taught me to engage with students on a variety of levels, educational and personal and to represent the students views to the university.
I have great deal of experience in Cell Biology and Intercellular signalling. I have knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Laboratory Techniques, Bio-computing, Literature Research, Bioinformatics, Statistical testing, Pharmacology and many more areas.
