I am a Glasgow-based musician, composer, and sound artist.

In 2012 I completed a practice-based PhD in Musical Composition at the University of Aberdeen where my field of research was concerned with impermanence in audio-visual intermedia and headphone-specific composition.

My compositional output often includes collaborations with artists of disciplines different from my own, including dance, theatre, film, and digital technologies.
I have taught music composition, music technology, and orchestration at the University of Aberdeen and Edinburgh College.

Since early 2016 I have worked as one half of the Gaelic ambient electronica duo, WHɎ;;TE with singer-songwriter Alasdair . Our debut album, `Fairich`, was released in 2016 and has received positive reviews and regular national and international radio airplay and our audio-visual stage show, `Fairich: Live` being selected as part of the Made in Scotland Showcase for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017. Our single, `Tairm` was selected for an official Spotify playlist and has gone on to receive nearly half a million plays. We have just released our third album, which is titled MAIM (meaning "panic" in Gaelic).

I am extremely passionate about teaching and I feel strongly that learning how to play an instrument or how to write a piece of music can help a student to build confidence and happiness as well as to achieve grades.

I currently teach piano and composition both privately and at a local music school.
