I am currently studying for an MSc in Mathematical Medicine and Biology at the University of Nottingham, previously having achieved a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Lancaster University.
I have a particular interest in teaching and as part of my undergraduate degree I took a module on Mathematical Education, focussing on primary and secondary age groups. I believe that enjoyment and interest in a subject is key to understanding it, so beyond basic teaching I aim to spark this interest during my lessons.
Availability: Will be available to tutor in Herefordshire from mid-September onwards.
Flexible on the days and times (most will be available) except weekend mornings.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: In Lancaster tutored a year 11 student for the entire year, initially as extra help on classwork and eventually through to exam preparation.
I have done several weeks work experience in a Primary School in my hometown Hereford.
I also completed a module on Mathematical Education as part of my BSc.
