Hello, my name is Dan and I am an experienced primary school teacher with experience of teaching in all ages across the primary range. I have experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as Phonics Screening and SATs.

I have been tutoring for over 2 years now and have tutored all ages, including KS3. I have a wide range of experience teaching small groups and individuals through my career as a teacher.

I like to run my lessons in a varied way, adapted for the student but, usually, they begin with a taught input about the subject, including a game or some interaction with an opportunity for the student to complete their own individual activity and a consolidation activity at the end of the lesson for me to assess their progress. If working at KS3 or GCSE level, I like to include a range of activities that can be considered fun and engaging rather than just simple revision.

I have a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum from my teaching experience and university study. I am currently working within the education sector so my knowledge of the curriculum is required to remain up to date and relevant.

Availability: I am mostly available after 4pm on weekdays and can be flexible at the weekend to suit the student.

I have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum from my teaching experience and my current job in education. My strengths are literacy, maths and phonics.
