Hi! I’m Louise, I am a qualified science teacher with 12+ years of teaching science to students age 11+. I am also an examiner for OCR and Pearson/Edexcel science qualifications.

My lessons are a safe place to ask questions and learn from mistakes. Recall of knowledge is core to success and so my lessons focus on the teaching and recall of facts. I use a range of resources such as a visualiser (for online classes, so that you can see my explanations), Kahoot! Quizzes for recall and exam questions to ensure you can use your new knowledge in a range of situations.

Our sessions can focus on the topics that you wish to improve or feel that you need support with. Alternatively, I can diagnose areas of focus to boost your grade. Each week I will set you a small independent learning task and feedback to you on this the following lesson.

Availability: I am available on weekday evenings and weekends during term time. In the school holidyas my times are more flexible between 9am and 7pm.

Experience: I am a qualified teacher, with a Master`s degree in education and 12+ years of experience teaching science (biology, chemistry, and physics) across all levels including KS3, GCSE, and A-Level. I have taught OCR, AQA, and Pearson Edexcel specifications at all levels and currently work as an examiner for Pearson (Edexcel). I use a range of teaching and learning methods to help my students build confidence and offer support in preparing for exams. I currently work as a head of science in a UK academy school. In my career, I have also worked as a course leader for animal science and lecturer for veterinary nursing, and animal nursing assistant qualifications as well as higher national diploma.
