Matilda

I`m a friendly and enthusiastic teacher, graduating from the University of York in July 2017 with a BA (Hons) in Music, my first instrument being the violin which I have been playing for 15 years.

I`m experienced in teaching both classical and folk/traditional styles of violin and fiddle playing.

Availability: After studying Piano Tuning and Restoration in Northampton, I am moving back to York in August 2019 and so will be available to teach on weekdays, evenings and weekends. Lessons can take place in your own home or mine, and I`m happy to travel outside of York to surrounding towns and villages.

Experience: I have been giving private lessons for around 5 years, including teaching the ABRSM exam syllabus. I previously worked for 3 years at the Saturday morning music centre in my home town Daventry as an early years helper, and ran the folk group which comprised of around 20 students aged around 8-13 on various instruments.
