Information about Louisa
I am an experienced teacher with 10 years experience across schools and universities within the UK. Currently teaching all three secondary sciences and prior to this I was a biological sciences lecturer. I hold a PhD in Protein Biochemistry and have worked in the forensic science industry. I have completed postgraduate courses in education in addition to taught degrees, a MSc Forensic Science (2004) and BSc (Hons) University of London - Molecular Biology and Genetics (2003). I have studied Biology Chemistry and Mathematics at A level standard and completed grade 6 in two instruments.

Experience: I have had experience teaching at many different levels over the last 10 years.
I have also held a senior lecturer position and worked in industry as a molecular biologist and forensic scientist.
Recently I have had experience teaching university students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level both in the classroom and in laboratory classes.
I hold a post graduate teaching certificate at higher education level and I am currently studying part time to complete a masters in education.
I am a fellow of the higher education academy.
I have been a private tutor in Aberdeen and Hertfordshire for over 10 years teaching primary and lower secondary school Maths and English as well as GCSE and A level science in particular Biology and Chemistry.
I have taught students across the range of different levels, those obtaining A and A* grades as well as those who struggle with Biology and Chemistry and have increased their grades from U and E to C grades in order to reach their chosen university in an alternative subject.
