I have a professional teaching qualification and have been tutoring both online and in person for the past 6 years. This experience includes GCSE preparation, help with Common Entrance and adult beginners. Sometimes children just need a little extra focus to help them work through a stage where they feel stuck. It doesn’t usually take long to make a real difference by going back over some key information which they may have missed or misunderstood in class. This in turn will boost their confidence to perform in exams. I can help with preparation for the oral exam and go back over the key tenses and grammar which they may feel confused by.
All of my students have improved their grades as a result of our lessons.
At our first lesson I try to understand where the gaps lie and identify the type of learning that suits them best. For example some students are strong visual learners and may find this approach will help them.
I ensure that each lesson has a mix of oral and written work and use their school textbook as a basis but enhance this with additional material.
I have also taught adults who are interested in reviving their school French and a couple who were preparing to move to France.
I can provide references from past students if required.
