Information about Peter
I am a career teacher of Maths, Physics and Chemistry with 35 years experience. I have taught in a wide range of schools throughout this time and have extensive experience of teaching 13 to 18 year olds. I have taught at all levels including Oxbridge entrance, A2, AS, IB, IGCSE and GCSE. I have also taught several different specifications including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I have the ability to form strong and positive relationships with students who tell me that they appreciate my clear, direct and supportive style of teaching. I have experience of teaching on revision courses and also tutored GCSE and A Level students in the past.
Availability: Weekdays, Evenings and Weekends
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have extensive experience as a teacher and Headmaster in boarding, day and international schools . I have considerable experience of teaching groups and individuals in Physics, Maths and Chemistry. As a result, I have gained a considerable insight into the elements of effective examination preparation, revision techniques and have the ability to build the confidence of students who often need to believe in themselves.

My son was struggling with confidence as he started A level maths. Peter has very quickly helped him to fill the gaps in his knowledge and given him great advice on how to stay on top of his work. He’s friendly, conscientious and very effective. I highly recommend Peter as a tutor.

Peter has proved to be an excellent tutor for our daughter who needed help with OCR GCSE Mathematics.His friendly,encouraging and proactive manner was just what was needed.He provided homework tailored to her individual need along with a wealth of practice material.Peter successfully addressed the gaps in her learning and our daughter made 3 grades progress due to his help.She is now enjoying her A Level studies.I would recommend Peter unreservedly.

Peter is an excellent Tutor. He has taught my son a few lessons with more to follow. My son enjoys his lessons with him as he has a good sense of humour and shows passion in his sessions with him.
