Accredited to the Government sponsored National Tutor Led programme with experience of working with approximately 50 children within the school setting, post Covid. I also have 16 years` worth of experience of tutoring a further 60 or so pupils Maths at KS2 and KS3 level.

Additionally, I have many years` worth of experience of tutoring Foundation and Higher Level GCSE Maths and GCSE English Language. I have tutored Maths and English to children from the Manchester United Academy and I have also tutored children from the Manchester City Academy.

I can provide half hour sessions if required and I hold a current Enhanced DRB certificate.

Experience: I offer a warm, friendly, calm approach to tutoring. I only tutor children in my own home, away from the distraction that tutoring in the child`s home sometimes brings. I have tutored close to 100 children to date for Entrance Exams/KS 2 SATS tests since 2008, my specialty being in Mathematics (for which I have given crash courses in the past to pull students up to the pass level).

Tutoring children who are struggling in maths is what I enjoy the most and is where I would get a huge amount of job satisfaction from. My aim is to make learning fun and stress free.

I have experience of tutoring students with special needs and adapt all my tutoring to the speed and length of time that each person finds is their appropriate rate of learning.

I also have 13 months` worth of experience of carrying out daily, two to one, in-school KS2 maths tutoring, as part of the current Government funded scheme. (The National Tutor-Led Scheme.) I also have over 12 months` worth of work experience working with small groups and individuals with the Under 18s Manchester United Team, tutoring GCSE English and Maths at Ashton upon Mersey School`s Manchester United Academy and at the Carrington training ground.

Additionally, I have experience of tutoring 12 students for Foundation Level GCSE Maths; 10 students at the Higher level of GCSE maths; I have experience of tutoring KS3 level maths and I have worked with a student studying for the American SATs to go to college over there. I also have experience tutoring GCSE English to year 11 students within a school setting and in my own home. Alongside this, I have worked with three boys from the Manchester City Academy tutoring maths.

I can provide half hour sessions if required and hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate and a Home Office Safe Guarding Certification from October 2024 related to the “Prevent awareness” course.
