I`m a geography PhD student at the University of Cambridge with over 8 years of tutoring experience; I`m currently taking new students in maths, sciences, geography, and English. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) and a Master of Philosophy in Geography from the University of Cambridge.

I have over 3 years of experience as an engineering consultant which has provided me with a richer and deeper understanding of my taught subjects - I`m always excited to leverage my experiences to help my students learn.

Experience: I have provided tutoring services for maths, sciences, and English for primary and secondary school students for over 8 years. This has primarily consisted of one-on-one tutoring both in-person and online, however, I have also conducted group sessions, workshops, and presentations.

I am currently conducting PhD research through the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge. My research seeks to improve emergency preparedness for natural hazard disasters (e.g., earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, wildfires, hurricanes...etc.) My master`s research was focused on improving our understanding of how risk perception of natural hazard disasters influences personal preparedness.

During my work as a geological engineer I worked on various large-infrastructure projects. My role was to support construction design, complete construction monitoring, conduct emergency response, and perform geohazard risk assessments.
