An enthusiastic and passionate QUALIFIED English teacher, who has over 20 years teaching experience. I currently lecture English Language and Literature. I am also an EXAMINER for GCSE ALEVEL exam boards- so I have extensive knowledge of what the exam boards are looking for and incorporate useful exam tips in sessions!
I tutor English for A Levels, GCSE and literacy for 11+. I love teaching as students who need extra help to build their confidence to reach their fullest potential.
I have extensive experience of teaching students with different learning styles and needs - in order for them to enjoy, be exam ready and succeed in their subject. I am currently TEACHING ENGAGING ONLINE LESSONS WHICH ARE TAUGHT IN LINE WITH THE SYLLABUS’ AND AT LEARNERS INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PACE. Please do contact me for further details.

Experience: I am a QUALIFIED and EXPERIENCED ALevel and GCSE English teacher and examiner. Along side teaching and being an examiner I am also a PhD candidate. I have 20 years experience as an English teacher and I love to see the change in students who think they ‘can’t’ go on to realise their potential through POSITIVE LEARNING AND MINDSET. All my online lessons are engaging and are student focused, so every student has a tailored programme of study. I have taught many long term students from primary ages to degree level.

We have found Lucia has had an excellent impact on our (year 10) son’s interest and confidence regarding his English GCSE preparation. We’ve only been with her a couple of months but have found Lucia has tailored her tutorials closely to our son’s needs and has been able to engage his attention and create a level of enthusiasm in our son for English which we hadn’t thought was possible. We would definitely recommend Lucia.

Lucia has been great, she`s helped build my daughters confidence and helped with preparation for the exam, seeking out additional material and working with her on approach. She got an A* for her first exam which has given my daughter no end of a boost and she will continue to work with her this year though the English language and literature exams. My daughter finds her fun and easy company whilst covering a lot at the same time.Although only a few sessions so far, a great start and we couldn`t be more pleased.
