I am a Qualified and Fluent Languages Teacher and have a High 2:1 degree in modern languages (French, Spanish and Portuguese) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I teach French and Spanish from beginner to to degree level for ALL ages in both individual or group lessons.

I am very flexible in my teaching approach and work closely with students to establish goals and how best to achieve them. I take pride in my ability to evaluate learner`s needs and to adapt teaching methods to suit. I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic about my languages and enjoy using a range of teaching approaches in order to teach a real understanding of language rather than teaching set phrases.


I write a lot of my own materials and have a quite a collection of text books and exam papers to suit all examination boards.

I am happy to discuss my approaches prior to any lesson and welcome messages or calls for peace of mind.

Availability: Lessons are flexible, as and when you are free, no need to block book or keep to the same time slot, I understand most learners will be fitting lessons around a busy work or school day and do my best to accommodate.

Experience: I have tutored part time since 2015 and full time since 2016 and really enjoy it. I have a good insight into how people learn and how best to adapt my approach to suit every individual. Prior to tutoring, I taught full time in a very successful boarding school from key stage 3 through to GCSE and A Level. Alongside tutoring, I also work at The University of Birmingham supporting pupils with additional needs.

I currently teach both adults and school pupils for examination preparation, holiday language, career or business language or to offer extra support to a pupil`s language lessons at school (in this situation, I can work with the school teacher).

I have taught in both mainstream state and private schools teaching key stages 3-5 to all of the examination boards and I have traveled and lived in Spain, France and South America myself so understand how to tailor lessons for travelers or gap year students.
