I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in secondary History and over 3 years experience in the classroom.

I am very experienced at working with students from all backgrounds and abilities, including special needs and ranging from KS3 to A-Level. I am also able to offer degree level tutoring if needed.

I am proficient in delivering content from most exam boards (inc. Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, AQA), and I am highly skilled in dissecting examination questions to ensure that all tutees are as prepared as they can be.

I take into consideration the likes/dislikes of my students, and will always plan the lesson or session around their bespoke needs.

I am able to teach any topic, however my specialisms are:
The Cold War, USA (1900-present), Germany (1800-1945), Russia (1914-1945), Soviet Union, India (1857-1948), Civil Rights, British History, British & American political history, Ancient Greece & Rome, Archaeology, and many others.

Availability: Monday-Friday (after school and evenings)
Possibly Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I graduated from York St John University in 2015 with a first class degree in History. I then went on to study for a PGCE in History at Edge Hill University, and I graduated with QTS (Outstanding). After this, I have worked in schools in Derbyshire and Doncaster until recently leaving teaching to work at the Royal Armouries in Leeds in the Formal Education department.
