Information about Aalice

I have been working within education and delivering Art and participatory workshops since 2015.

I studied History of Art at Cambridge University before setting up a studio and Arts education programme in Suffolk alongside tutoring and teaching. I aim to encourage students, build confidence and approach learning creatively as much as possible. I offer structured lessons as well creative learning time and art classes.

With respect to academic or curriculum subjects, I personally benefited from additional support during my primary schools years and understand the impact this can have on students who are currently underachieving or struggling with a subject.

Since 2015 I`ve delivered workshops for a range of age groups and abilities, with projects supported by Arts Council England, East Suffolk Council, Suffolk Libraries, The Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind and other organisations. If you are looking for Art workshops for younger students, I can deliver these as more general creative workshops with a range of materials/projects, as structured lessons, or to submit for Arts Award. I aim to incorporate Art history into all my art classes, for both younger and adult learners. I can help source and supply materials for Art classes.

I offer tutoring for specific subjects as well as general support in learning and am happy to discuss the requirements of your particular syllabus and individual needs.

Availability: At present, I am available for lessons on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: I have delivered Art workshops, bronze casting and sculpture projects with schools, colleges and adult learners. My main programme, The Portable Foundry Project has delivered sculpture projects since 2015, supported by Arts Council England, Suffolk Libraries and East Suffolk Council and other Arts organisations. I have also run after-school and holiday art club sessions, workshops through galleries, and assisted with SEN art workshops for young people. I am trained Arts Award Assessor for Bronze and Silver awards.

I have worked as a private tutor teaching both in schools and over Skype for KS2 and A Level subjects. I have also worked as Teaching Assistant giving additional support to Year 6 students for maths, spelling and reading.
