I am a fully qualified and experienced English teacher working part-time in an outstanding secondary school. I have also been tutoring for a number of years, my past students range from A level to the 11plus. I specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature and have been an examiner for AQA as well as Head of Department for 8 years.

On the first session I conduct a baseline assessment of your child to identify gaps in their skills and knowledge and use this to plan a suitable unit of work. I will then continually assess your child’s progress giving written and verbal feedback every session to ensure your child knows what they need to do to improve. I can also provide feedback to parents after every session.

For GCSE students I plan units that meet the specific exam board assessment objectives and criteria. I have experience of all major exam boards and access to pass word protected resources on examination board websites including the latest exams reports. I also offer intensive revision courses during school holidays.
