Hello!
My name is Minoli, and I’m a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with over 11 years of teaching experience. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and a PGCE in Primary Education.
I’ve spent 9 years teaching in Reception and 2 years in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), so I understand exactly what young children need to thrive at each stage of their early learning journey. I’ve also worked as both an Early Years Lead and a Phonics Lead, helping to shape high-quality learning experiences and support children with early reading and writing skills.
As a tutor, I create fun, engaging sessions that build confidence and help children make real progress. I follow the latest EYFS guidance and use a mix of play-based and structured learning to suit your child’s individual needs.
As a KS1 teacher, I have supported many children in developing the skills they need for success, including preparation for Year 2 SATs. I also have a strong background in phonics and have helped many children improve their phonetic knowledge—leading to fantastic results both in and out of the classroom. Whether your child needs extra support with phonics, early maths, writing, or SATs preparation — I’m here to help.
Most importantly, I believe every child has the potential to succeed with the right support and encouragement. I’m passionate about helping children grow in confidence and enjoy learning.

I found Minoli through a search on TutorHunt. She tutored my older daughter from the age of 5 for around 18 months and then went on to tutor my younger daughter from the age of 3 for around a year. This has only sadly come to an end because of Minoli’s relocation. We will miss her terribly. Minoli is the most wonderful tutor we could have hoped for and I am envious of anyone about to embark on their journey with her. She is meticulously prepared for every session and is inventive in planning activities which combine learning with fun. She built an excellent relationship with both my children and they excitedly looked forward to their sessions with her. The girls would keep their papers ordered in a book so they could reflect on their past work, and she would provide focused feedback to me. I wholeheartedly recommend Minoli as a tutor for early years learning and am happy to speak to anyone considering working with her.

Minoli started tutoring my daughter in 2017 when she was in reception and was struggling to meet her early years learning goals, and from the very 1st lesson her passion for early years teaching shone through, my daughter finished reception very well and in Yr1 Minoli helped her achieve the max score (40) in the phonics screening test. She also took on my son when he got to reception in 2018 and he has excelled. Minoli is able to assess and adjust her teaching style to suit each child, she is organised, plans exciting lessons to keep the children engaged and is invested in them doing well, my kids definitely look forward to their lesson every week. she is an excellent tutor, who I very highly recommend!

Miss Minoli has been a godsend for my son Harrison. She was fantastic at teaching through play, creative and patient
Miss Minoli was always on time and travelled by public transport from a long distance.
I wish there were more like Miss Minoli in my sons school.
