I have a full time position as a Research Scientist in the NHS and I have also previously worked as a Molecular Biologist in private industry therefore I use maths and scientific principals every day. In terms of my own education, I have myself struggled with exams as a younger student however improving my exam techniques and confidence helped me to improve throughout my studies and I now have a Masters degree in Genetics of Human Disease, from UCL and an undergraduate degree in Biological and Medical Sciences from University of Liverpool.

I tutor because I enjoy helping students to better understand Science and Maths. I feel an good understanding of these subjects is much more applicable to later life than people realise as well as important for improving exam results. I really enjoy seeing my student`s confidence build through the year and maybe even start to enjoy the challenge that maths and science can present.

I`m a happy, positive person and I enjoy building a good student-teacher relationship which I think helps my students to feel more confident in answering questions and trusting their knowledge. I have 5 years experience and for the last 2 years I have tutored +8 students a week both through tutorhunt and privately so I have extensive experience with all stages of education up to GCSE and all abilities.

Experience: I have 5 years experience of tutoring through TutorHunt at KS3 and GCSE. In addition I have also tutored KS3 and GCSE with students not through TutorHunt. I have tutored both in person and online. For the last 2 years I have tutored +8 students a week and have even had international students. I hope to provide my students with guidance through the course content and their general exam period. I try to be as flexible as possible and am guided by the students ability in different topics.
