I have lived here in Helsby for the past 30 years. My children attended the local schools. I retired from teaching two years ago in order to work on my violin restoration business, Phoenix Violins. A little extra tuition work will maintain my interest in education.

I am very well qualified with a Biology degree and PGCE.

I have a CRB check (enhanced disclosure) but it is dated 2003 (the last time a changed my school) and the Tutorhunt software does not seem to accept it.

Experience: I recently retired after a teaching career of 34 years. In that time I have taught Maths up to GCSE level, Biology to A level, and Science to key stage 3 level. (Recently I have specialised in KS3 science.) Most of my teaching has been at independent schools although my children attended the local state schools. For a number of years I was an examiner (i.e. marker) of GCSE and A level Biology, and also KS3 SATs papers where I was a marker team leader. rs.
In the past I have provided one to one tuition to many pupils over a number of years. I have found that Maths tuition has been in greatest demand.
