Hello! My name is Faiza and I am a fourth year medical student. I have achieved 2 offers in 2022 to study medicine whilst in Year 13. As a recent A-Level student who sat the first A-Level exam series after 3 years due to Covid-19, I know and can appreciate how difficult it has been for GCSE and A-Level students to understand and apply knowledge from their subjects given the recent circumstances with online learning and other disruptions. Therefore, using my experience and knowledge, I have formulated methods to achieve those top grades, with a focus on developing and utilising exam technique effectively to help students identify what the question is asking and how to apply their knowledge.

Experience: I have tutored privately and on a voluntary basis for over 2 years. I was a part of a mentoring scheme in my school as a prefect where myself and other students had helped students in the year below who chose similar A-Level subjects and were looking to study a similar / the same degree course.

As a tutor, I ensure that I adapt and tailor my tutoring approach to different students learning styles and needs. I first ensure that my students have the knowledge to answer exam questions and then I heavily focus on how to approach different styles of exam questions, especially the knowledge and application questions which are a key component of any GCSE and A-Level science, which is what I specialise in having studied these subjects in depth at A-Level and achieving an A* in biology and an A in chemistry in my recent A-Level exams.
