I’m a mathematics tutor with over eight years of teaching experience, from GCSE and A-level maths through to university courses. I hold a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford University and have taught a wide range of learners, including students who feel anxious about maths or who are rebuilding confidence after setbacks. My approach is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students understand why maths works, not just how to get the answer. I aim to create a calm, encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of learning.

Experience: I have taught mathematics at university and pre-university level in both the UK and the US. Most recently, I was a lecturer at the University of Utah, where I led courses including quantitative reasoning, pre-calculus, business algebra, and calculus, and supported students on academic recovery programmes. Previously, I taught and tutored at Stanford University while completing my PhD, providing one-to-one and small-group support alongside classroom teaching. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level maths, working with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds and learning needs.
