Experience: Over 35 years teaching GCSE and A level Chemistry to all levels of ability, and all specifications, including preparation for Oxbridge entrance. I have significant experience of examination requirements, techniques and marking being a senior examiner with AQA. I endeavour to work in partnership with pupils, listening carefully to find the best ways of overcoming barriers to learning and providing the bespoke support required to progress. I aim to have focussed productive sessions so learning is enjoyable and stimulating, while raising confidence, achievement and attainment. I have a proven track record of success with students exceeding expectations. Getting deeper understanding of a topic, or improving confidence is not about my previous exam performance. Success depends on a strong tutor relationship which I seek to provide.
