I moved to Thatcham in 2014 having spent the previous 10 years living by the sea in Hove ... which I do miss. But nothing lasts forever and nor does your son`s/daughter`s full-time maths education. I very much enjoy working with individuals as the impact on their confidence and progress is always very rewarding. Whilst I have a serious approach to teaching mathematics I have a very good sense of humour that I use well with students. I am able to offer one-to-one tuition, either in person or online, and during school holidays, I offer revision sessions for small groups of students (4-6) at GCSE
Beyond mathematics, I am very much into maintaining my health and fitness through Crossfit. This acts as a useful reminder of what it is like to study something and work towards achieving my goals.

Increasingly, I tend to book up very quickly, so if you are considering a tutor for the next academic year, I advise you to contact me in June/July in order to secure a slot. I will always do my best to accommodate students.
I can offer either face-to-face tuition or online via zoom.

If you are an A level student and you are not tied in to your school/college during the day, then I will have some availability at such time.

Additionally, I am running a couple of revision days during the Easter holidays for small groups (4-6) of GCSE students. This constitutes a half day for Foundation students targeting a 4/5 and a full day for Higher students targeting a grade 7. If this is something that is of interest to you, then do message me.

Experience: I have been a full time teacher of mathematics for 22 years, (and part-time for the last nine years) teaching students to A level and GCSE standard with excellent results as well as tutoring, also with excellent results.I have a very good working knowledge of the mathematics curriculum and the specifications for Edexcel and AQA GCSE and Edexcel A level exams. I currently teach A level in school and I therefore have a good understanding of the demands of the new A level.
