I am a teacher with ten year`s experience working in secondary schools, helping pupils to understand mathematics and pass their GCSE and A-Level exams.I have taught top sets as well as all other abilities.
I also have experience in teaching basic skills and numeracy to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
I have also helped to prepare trainee teachers for their qts maths test.
I have found that teaching techniques which build confidence and enjoyment can be very effective in raising attainment in the subject.
I like to work in partnership with the student at their own pace and sessions are student led.
My strengths are working with GCSE students and supporting them to learn better exam technique to achieve their target grade. On average my students gain 20 marks per paper in 6-8 weeks.
I am not in a full time teaching role at the moment due to having a young family so am available for more home tuition.
