My name is Naomi. I am a qualified primary school teacher, currently teaching at a primary school in Wallington, South London.
I am the English Coordinator.
Some things about me:
- I studied English literature and language (linguistics) combined with Creative Writing at The University of Winchester. I love reading and anything literature based!
- I lived in Japan for a year, teaching English in a senior school.
Availability: During term time I am available most evenings Monday to Friday after school hours between 5.00 to 8.00pm.
I can be available Saturdays upon request.

Experience: - I am a qualified primary school teacher, currently teaching in year 2 at a primary school in Wallington, South London. I previously taught in an inner London Primary school in Lambeth.
- I have been Key Stage 1 coordinator (overseeing years 1 and 2).
- I have been the English coordinator.
- I am mid-way through completing an NPQ in senior leadership.
- I have taught year 2 for several years, meaning that I have an excellent understanding of the KS1 SATs requirements as well as the curriculum standards and expectations for childrens expected level at the end of KS1.
- I have taught year 1 and prepared children for the year 1 phonics screening tests. Because if this I have a wealth of knowledge and experience teaching phonics, spelling and the KS1 common exception words.
- I have tutored several students for GCSE English exams.
- My teacher training was carried out at London UCL Institute of Education, whereby I was granted qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Prior to my teacher training; as a teaching assistant I worked in lower KS2, supporting children in year 3 and 4.
- I spent a year In Japan and taught English as a foreign language in a Japanese senior high school, teaching classes of children ranging from 15 to 18 years old. I have knowledge and experience of teaching adults English as a foreign language.
