I have been teaching KS3, GCSE and A level English for 12 years in secondary schools. I have also worked for two of the major exam boards marking A level and GCSE papers.

My passion for English is conveyed to my students. I am well versed in the new GCSE and A level specs and have designed overviews which are used in my last school.

I endeavour to stretch all students by highlighting their strengths and areas for development and creating opportunities for them to make clear, progress. Most of all, I hope all students I teach enjoy the subject whilst they are learning!

Availability: Due to the current situation, I have slots available throughout the week. I have been tutoring online for a few years using Skype / FaceTime / Google Hangouts with Google Classroom. I find this a very effective form of teaching, as it allows us to converse whilst sharing and editing the same resources.

Experience: I have worked as an English teacher in a secondary school for 10 years with responsibility for KS4. I have small children and now work part time in a successful Hertfordshire secondary school.
