I am a law graduate (2009) and qualified English teacher with experience of teaching academic writing and UK, European un ion Law and International Law. I taught academic writing and English for Law at Ozyegin University in Istanbul and at Swansea University in Wales (2013-2016). I also have over 15 years experience in Information Management and Legal Research. I was a Law Librarian at Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester where I taught legal research skills to undergraduate and postgraduate law students (2010-2013). I also worked at universities in Texas and New York city (1999-2005). I am currently the Law & Politics, Anthropology, Criminology & Sociology Librarian at the University of Southampton while also studying for the LLM in European un ion Law by distance learning at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
I believe that teaching is not about the teacher`s teaching; it is about the student`s learning. This is why my lesson plans are designed not only to help the student learn but also to make learning interesting and memorable.
