Information about Myra
I set up “Maths with Myra” having realised that the quality of Maths teaching and tutoring varies a lot across different areas of the country. I started tutoring a couple of years ago as a favour for a parent of an ex-student when I moved to a different school. And have never needed to advertise locally since, as I have a lot of recommendations and have a waiting list form the following year. But - there are far more students across the country who could benefit from my online maths lesson. Proper teaching, three times a week with homework and no time wasting! Most importantly at a very cost effective price! I want to reach parents that cannot drive to a tutor due to work commitments or other. I want to reach students that need their confidence raised in a positive and friendly manner. Imagine being able to engage and benefit form a highly experienced, qualified teacher of maths with mathematics consultancy experience. I work with student form 10-16 years of age in particular. Currently focussing on all year groups keeping on tip of their mathematical skills whilst in lockdown. Year 6 transitioning into secondary school need to be ready for September. Year 7, 8 and 9 have missed out on a lot of learning and need to keep up to avoid going backwards in terms of progress. Year 10 - I am pushing on GCSE content so they do not have ‘gaps’ and year 11 looking to take on A Level Maths are studying bridging topics with me in preparation to start Year 12 strong!
Follow me on Instagram @mathswithmyra and on Facebook at www.facebook/maths-with-myra. See my recommendations too!
I am also offering guidance to parents on how to best support your child’s learning.
