I have an excellent track record of working as a private tutor, primarily in English, although I can do other subjects if required. I`m experienced in tutoring for SATs, 11+, 13+, GCSE, A Level and Adult Literacy. I believe in tailoring lessons to an individual student`s needs. I have managed to raise the grades of all my previous students, as well as building their confidence and enhancing their enjoyment of English.

My rates for academic tutoring are £30 an hour. I can come to you, or students can come to me. Parents are welcome to accompany their children if they choose to come to me - there is free parking and parents can wait in the house.

My style of tutoring is sympathetic and encouraging as I find this yields the best results. I often back up the lessons with books and other materials - I provide these myself and don`t ask parents to pay for them.

I`m also an experienced drama teacher and can coach students of all ages in their audition pieces and other acting skills, such as accents (I`m a professional actress with a career in theatre, television and film). My rates for drama coaching are £25 an hour. Previous students have got jobs in the West End and on TV after I coached them with their audition scenes.

Availability: Update - I am currently unable to accept new students on here as I do not understand Tutorhunt`s new booking system.

Very flexible. I prefer not to tutor at weekends (although sometimes this is possible), but I can do any time on weekdays. I understand that parents can`t always commit to lessons at the same time every week and I`m happy to be flexible. I can do daytime as well as after school hours, so am very happy to help with home-schooling.
