Information about Marc
ONLINE TUTORING AVAILABLE
I am currently 25 and I have previously worked as an assistant economist at HM Treasury and most recently, a Consultant and Economist within the Policy and Evaluation team at Ipsos MORI. I currently work for Innovate UK to support the implementation of future Innovation Research policies before starting my masters in International Economics in September.
I have written technical reports, including extensive econometric analysis within my previous roles. Prior to this, I achieved a First Class Economics degree from the University of Surrey in 2017.
In my spare time, I love to travel (25 countries so far!), cook, read and I`m currently learning French and Spanish!
Availability: I am available post 5:30 weekdays and all day weekends
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: Most recently, I tutored maths online for Kensington Aldridge academy. This involved working with a specific student over 8 weeks to boost their final grade, focussing on areas that were of difficulty to the individual student. In the past, I have tutored GCSE French, coached football teams and supported GCSE Business study classes.
In 2017/18, I also volunteered to help children of ages 9/10 to improve their reading ability, understanding and confidence. As part of this, I was DBS approved (2017).
My approach:
Over the first lessons we identify the current situation - what we`re happy with, what we`re not so happy with - look at the course syllabus, as this varies from region-to-region and across examination boards, and focus on what needs improving in logical steps. Everyone learns differently, and I tailor my tutoring accordingly, providing the most enjoyable and effective experience possible. I enjoy and prefer tutoring informally and am always open and happy for feedback and suggestions
