Information about Renos
I am a 2nd year medical student at st Bartholomew`s and the Royal London Hospitals medical college, part of Queen Mary University of London. Medicine is a passion of mine as it enables me to integrate knowledge and concepts from Chemistry, Physics and Biology as well as the fact studying Medicine will give me the opportunity to help people in a more meaningful way when I graduate. Studying medicine in university has made me understand the importance of detail and the importance of fully understanding basic concepts in science. The fact that I am currently going through the degree means that I am fresh out of the knowledge of school which enables me to empathise with my students.
My one year experience with the voluntary organisation TeamUp has helped me solidify my teaching methods. I also teach medical students in university, which gives me the experience to address students at variable levels, adjust my teaching to the knowledge of the audience and simplify concepts to an associating level.
In my spare time I enjoy to play the classical guitar and do sports. I hold two national guitar competition titles and I currently run practices for the water polo club I am a part of. Being part of a club and having been through two years of the army of Cyprus, has given me enough experience to make me comfortable working as part of a large, small, or diatomic (just like hydrogen, oxygen and halogen molecules) group, as a leader or as a follower.
I teach because I think it is unethical to not help when you can.
Availability: Wednesday afternoons and weekends.
