I graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class degree in Classics and am excited to share my enjoyment of ancient languages and history with other students. During my degree, I learnt both Latin and Greek from scratch and thus know only too well the challenges of learning an ancient language. I have a strong academic record, with A*A*A* at A-level and eight A*s and three As at GCSE and I graduated from Oxford with a 1st, gaining top prize for my thesis on Senecan tragedy.

I am able to assist with Latin and Ancient Greek at all levels, whether to improve confidence or to work towards a particular qualification, such as GCSE, A-Level, or entrance-exams. Many schools do not offer Latin or Greek, and I am able to provide tuition outside of the curriculum upon demand. I also tutor Ancient History and Classical Civilisation, both for content-learning and essay-writing techniques, and can provide support for oxbridge applications.

I`m currently working on a range of different museum projects, from educational work to Oral history interviewing and would like to pursue a career in museum curation. I also write a blog about medicine and the body in antiquity!

Availability: At the moment I am only able to teach online, however I have a very flexible schedule and can teach most days and evenings. Get in touch if you`d like to discuss possible timings.

Experience: I spent my last year at university teaching Latin weekly to a small group of year 6 children at a primary school in Oxford to improve literacy and provide further challenges outside of the standard curriculum. At a higher level, I have run lectures at the Wadham Classics Summer School for potential applicants and presented my thesis at an academic conference in June 2017.

I`m an experienced tutor in Latin and Classical civilisation and am able to tailor content and lessons to suit individual demands. I have tutored A-level Latin, A-level Classical Civilisation, GCSE Latin and Ancient Greek, beginner`s Latin and Ancient Greek. I am also able to tutor Ancient History. I have access to lots of resources, texts and commentaries so will be able to find suitable materials for a range of abilities!
