Information about Tom
I have over 100 hours of experience tutoring from ages 11-18 and adult learners, both in-person and online. The best way to be successful in maths, and get the grades you deserve, is to give yourself as much time as possible to really understand each topic you will be tested on, because leaving it to the last few weeks does not give you much of a chance. It is also very important to know how to get the best out of yourself when it comes to exam day, and this is something I really emphasise in my lessons.
Of course it is a challenging subject, but also extremely rewarding and satisfying when you truly understand it. The way you study is also vital, and is something that can be overlooked by teachers who may have 35-40 students at once, but in reality being good in exams is just as if not more important for your results.
From my experiences through school and now having graduated with first class honours in Maths after 4 years at university, I can offer advice on how to achieve all this and hopefully help you to enjoy the subject as well.
My lessons are structured with different learning styles in mind and can involve anything from a discussion on exam technique to specific questions and topics you might be having trouble with.
I have a genuine passion for helping you to achieve the best possible outcome for you, whether that is exam results, a deeper understanding of the subject or gaining confidence in your learning.
Availability: I am available outside of 9-5 on weekdays, can be slightly more flexible if lessons are online.

Tom has been great this term in helping my daughter to regain her confidence in maths having started A `level in September. He explains each topic clearly and has provided useful notes and resources to aid her study. We would thoroughly recommend Tom as a tutor.
