Hello!

I am an experienced Primary School Teacher for children aged 4-8 years old, and have been in the profession for eight years. I have taught in a top school in Portsmouth which regularly attains the best SATs results in the city and have also taught in schools across South West London - both state and independent. I have four year`s experience as a Private Tutor and have helped students to improve their Maths, English and Phonics.

I have recently relocated to Cornwall (just outside of Wadebridge), and I am able to tutor in the surrounding areas. I am happy to tutor in-person or online.

I can help your child in any area of Maths or English which you feel they need further support in. A confidence boost is sometimes all children need to progress in an area of learning. I am also able to help children with Year 2 SATs tests, Year 1 Phonics Screening and the 7+ Entrance Exams.

My undergraduate degree is in Geography and I have an in depth knowledge of all education topics covered. I can tutor KS2, KS3 and GCSE Geography.

Usually I will ask to look at your child`s latest school report to identify any gaps in their learning (or discuss them with you if you already know what they need to work on). I will then plan my tutor sessions based on this information.

I can bring my certificates and DBS on request.

Experience: I have a broad range of experience across Year 1 through to Year 6. The majority of my career has been spent in Year 1, 2 and 3, therefore I have a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum objectives.

I have also had subject leadership roles in English, Phonics and Geography.

Additionally, I have extensive experience of teaching English to EAL (English as an additional language) students to help them become more confident and fluent in their spoken language, reading and writing.
