I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher who has demonstrated a long term commitment and genuine passion for teaching A levels in Economics and Business in five different educational institutions over a period of twenty six years. Since 2005 I have enjoyed a huge amount of success as a Head of Department in both the independent and maintained sector. I will carefully design an individual learning plan to deliver high quality private tuition tailored to the student`s requirements. I use a wide range of teaching strategies and resources to ensure significant progress is made. I set and mark exam focussed assessments, writing an extensive number of my own resources, including model answers to past paper questions. I will provide the student with comprehensive materials to supplement the guidance and support they receive.

Availability: Limited availability on weekday evenings and weekends depending on term times. I rarely tutor privately more than two students per week due to my full-time employment commitments.

Experience: I have considerable experience in preparing large numbers of students for a variety of GCSE, AS and A2 level specifications. In the last six years I have attended many external training courses run by AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Philip Allan, IEA and Pearson to support my extensive knowledge and understanding of the assessment requirements at AS and A2 level. I am an experienced Edexcel A Level Economics examiner and have been marking A Level Economics exams for the last 10 years. I have a comprehensive understanding of the various marking criteria at Advanced level which enables me to enhance the effectiveness of the student`s exam answering technique.
