My name is Vasiliki and for the past 7 years I have successfully worked in one of Cyprus’s best English Nursery Schools. Since September 2016 I am the Primary teacher for KS1 children at the Hellenic School of Manchester.

As an educator I would say that I am experienced, hard working, enthusiastic, caring and loving. I am always seeking to develop professionally and I set the development of the social skills and effective education of children aged between 2 – 9 years old as my top priority.

I have also worked with students and adults on one to one basis, as well as being trusted by the parents to babysit their children, receiving excellent references in the process.

After acquiring and developing my skills in Cyprus, I am now looking for fresh & exciting challenges in Manchester, UK.

Primary teacher for KS1 children at the Hellenic School of Manchester, Manchester (part time)

Responsible for delivering the Greek curriculum to children that have some or minimal Greek language knowledge. Amongst others, the lesson is structured as follows:
• Letter of the day – One letter from the Greek alphabet will be the main focus
• Games playing – These are designed to help the children improve their vocabulary
• Storybook reading – This is designed to help the children improve their understanding. At the end of the reading session a number of questions are put to the children to check their understanding

During my time as a primary teacher I was also a private tutor (one on one) for adults and KS0, KS1, KS2 & SEN children who were either attending Romanos English Nursery School or other primary schools in Nicosia. Amongst others, my responsibilities included:
• Homework assistance which was adjusted accordingly to suit the children’s individual needs
• Creation of extra activities in the form of educational games & additional worksheets which would help the children’s understanding
