Hi everyone,
my name is Elisa and I offer in person and online tuition in GSCE Biology and Chemistry and in Biology only at A-level.
I hold a PhD and a master degree in Biology and I am also a qualified teacher with more than 8 years of experience as a Biology and Chemistry tutor, specifically at GCSE and at A levels.
Over the years, I have supported students of all needs and abilities and I have prepared them to achieve the highest possible marks in their exams.
I am really familiar with the syllabus and papers of all exam boards (including OCR, AQA and Edexcel) and I really know all previous past papers by heart.
During my lessons, I focus on building up students` confidence, and to consolidate their knowledge. Most importantly though, I focus on teaching them how to apply the knowledge to the questions so that they can perform at their best in their exams.

TUTORING APPROACH
Based in Cambridgeshire (St. Neots), I follow a tutoring approach that I would describe as encouraging and highly personalised: my aim is helping students to increase their confidence and to give them the knowledge that they need to be successful in their exams.
It is undeniable that providing students with a solid scientific background is important. However, it is even more important that students learn how to apply their knowledge and become confident in answering to their exams papers.
My main goals are:
1. helping my tutees to become self-confident learners
2. planning personalised topic-led sessions that give my tutees a solid biology background
3. teaching essential exam techniques aimed to help students to unlock their final exams.

Experience: I have worked as a lecturer at GCSE and A-level at several Sixth Forms including The Weston Favel Academy in Northamptonshire and The Bedford Sixth Form in Bedford.
I am currently working as a Lecturer at the London Science and Technology College (higher education).
In the past 8 years I had more than 30 Biology tutees at both GCSE and A level and i have received very good reviews, both from students and their parents.
